The Tanzanian People

The people of Tanzania are warm and friendly.  And while their living conditions may not meet our standards they are still happy and healthy.

This is especially true of those that work in the tourist industry.  I have always found people interested in who we are, what we do and where we come from.  I also find them incredibly honest and helpful.

What do I mean?  I had clients this past year go on Safari.  2 days after they left a lodge they noticed their wallet was missing with over $2000 dollars in it.  That is a lot of money to someone in Tanzania.  Steve and I called all over but it was nowhere to be found.  A week later that wallet was found tucked deep underneath a mattress.  The wallet was returned with every single dollar accounted for.  Would that happen in the U.S.?  I would like to think so, but I know it would happen in Tanzania.
