Last month I had the pleasure of taking 8 clients on a multi-sport adventure in Patagonia Chile. I will be writing about it over the next several weeks but to fully understand my posts you will have to become familiar with what certain phrases mean.
It is sort of like reading the real estate section – “Curb Appeal” means the inside is a disaster. A “ little gem” means it is smaller than a dollhouse. Traveling with our group in Patagonia we developed a short hand lingo and quickly became known as the “Just Around The Corner Gang.” So here are some helpful phrases:
“Just Around The Corner” – when you are hiking you have about another 3 hours to go.
“Mountain Flat” – Hilly and lots of up and down. You just don’t need a rope to climb it.
“Steep” – Bring the rope you are going to need it!
“Patagonia Breeze” –60mph winds
“Patagonia Wind” – 80mph winds
