I have just returned from spending 4 weeks in Africa. I believe strongly that when I put safaris together for people I should not send anyone anywhere or have them do anything unless I have been there or done it myself. Thus I go to Africa at least once a year.

Merry Band of Travelers

This year was quite an adventure as I was invited to tour Zambia and Malawi. Right after I committed to that trip I received a special invitation to celebrate a 60th Birthday of a great friend in the travel business. The only requirement is that Diane and I had to get ourselves to Cape Town. I immediately said “I can do that!” More on this extraordinary celebration later.

However, there was about a 6 day gap between the 2 events so I decided to fill it in by visiting Victoria Falls from both the Zambia and Zimbabwe side. I am so glad I did.

But I am getting ahead of myself. First up, I and 4 other African Specialists (3 women from Germany, a great guy from South Africa) and myself went off to explore Zambia and Malawi. It was a great group and a great time.
