I always realize how passionate I am about Africa as when I land I always have a smile on my face (maybe part of that is I flew on the day of the solar eclipse and the pilot was kind enough to get us close – hence the darkness outside my plane window).  And I am constantly reminded that my experience is that everything always seems to work out.  I am at the chaotic Nairobi airport (though this time with new immigration facilities finally open after the fire a few years back) and I don’t see Daniel from DK Safaris.  All the cab people are trying to sell me a ride and take my bag and I tell them no.  Sure enough, before I panic I see the sign with my name on it and Lillian a lovely lady comes to greet me.  She works in the DK office and wanted to meet me.  I am in Africa.
